Bretagne International Saxophone Academy,
6th edition, 5th - 14th of August 2017
The fifth edition of the Bretagne International Saxophone Academy will be organized in Rostrenen, small city in Bretagne (Western France).
The academy will take place from 5th to 14th of August 2017 at the Kreiz Breizh Music School in Rostrenen. The participants arrive on 6th of August during the day and depart on 14th of August in the morning.
An Academy with a human dimension.
The human dimension of the Academy is given by
- the participants' proximity with the Academy teachers
- proximity with the families hosting the participants
Consequently, and in order to ensure ideal studying conditions, the number of participants is limited.
The Bretagne International Saxophone Academy aims to give pre-professional students an intensive preparation for concerts, conservatoire entrance exams (CRD, CRR and CNSMDP) as well as for national and international competitions.
The Academy is open for all nationalities as well as for minor participants. Lessons are given in French, English, German, Finnish or Japanese.
An intensive and comprehensive programme
To garantee the best studying conditions, each participant receives
- a session of 3 lessons of one hour during 3 successive days with Alexandre SOUILLART
- a session of 3 lessons of one hour during 3 successive days with Joonatan RAUTIOLA
- daily rehearsals and lessons with piano, alternating (directed by the pianist Matthieu ACAR and the saxophonist Hiroe YASUI)
- a personal interview with the teachers upon arrival to the Academy
- free entrance to the festival ”Les Rencontres Musicales du Kreiz Breizh)
- lessons with a specific theme (instrumental technique, practicing methods...)
- Two public sessions to prepare competitions

Ideal studying conditions
Each participant has a personal practice room with unlimited possibility for practice between 9.00 and 19.00.
A staff team composed by saxophonists accompanies each student to try materials, to translate and answer to the attempt of each participant.
Organisation
The Academy teachers are prize-winning soloists with an international concert activity: Joonatan RAUTIOLA, saxophonist ; Hiroe YASUI, saxophonist ; Alexandre SOUILLART, saxophonist ; Matthieu ACAR, pianist.
A list of local accommodation facilities is available on demand. Accommodation in host families is also possible (depending of the number of available host families). Dining costs are on the participants' charge, but the Academy organization offers to organize daily meals against a lump sum.
