Mai Toyama
The saxophonist Maï Toyama Passionate about classical music, contemporary music, chamber music and especially the saxophone quartet she is a co-founder of the Uzumé Quartet. She began learning the saxophone at the University of Music in Osaka Japan. She joined the Conservatoire Régional de Paris (Class of Christian Wirth) where she graduated by a DEM degree unanimously.
Having studied with Jun Nishimoto, Naomi Tabata, Jiro Akamatsu, and Christian Wirth, she entered at the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP)s in 2012 where she receives advice from Claude Delangle for saxophone as well as from Jens McManama for chamber music.
Saxophone She is the Professor at the Music School of Fontainebleau-Avon since 2014. In 2015, she successfully entered in the classe of improvisation at the Paris Conservatoire to study with Vincent Lê Quang and Alexandros Markeas. Passionate and interested about pedagogie, she entered at the CEFEDEM de Normandie.
